Was in the area so drove to Paradise. Looked like 90% of the previous snowfall was lost in the 3 inches of rain yesterday.  Snow on the Muir snowfield looked dirty all the way to Camp Muir and some snow above that looked dirty. Precious little was apparent below Moon Rocks.  With less than 6 inches forecast before the weekend, I think I'll skip it.  >:( abc

p.s. Nisqually R. was cookin'!  Loudest and dirtiest I've seen it at 4,000 ft and roaring at 2,000 ft; took out part of the road to the old campground at Longmire--just across the bridge.
Thanks for the update, Andy. That's quite a change from Sunday - all of the "permanent" snow on the Muir was still covered with new snow then. Now I am really glad I got my skiing done on Sunday!

Indeed the short term looks very bleak! >:( Even more so when this month's genuflections are not complete. >:(
