Starting hiking from the timberline parking at 730 am. Beautiful day, sunny, no wind, great visibility. Good accumulation at lower elevations 5000-7000 ft, very icy and windblown throughout entire palmer snowfield. But some nice turns on the lower 2/3rds of the route. I was almost able to (and probably could've) skied all the way to the parking lot. I couldn't take more than a few photos since my batteries were dead.
Nice! Looks like it's melting now and going to be warm all next week :-[
i know, sun and warmth for the whole forecasted week.
