kam, cinnamon and i were on the hunt for patches. we began the hike at paradise under cloudy conditions, but broke through to sunshine just above alta vista. perfectly skiable patches began just around 6600', but we decided to push beyond, despite our time constraints, to get a little more vert. we reached our turn around time at about 7700', and skied the patch down to its base. i made 18 turns total...but hey, october is in the bag! ah, the challenges of living in the south. it was great to be back anyway though, even if it was a blitz--thanks to everyone who joined us! :)

Kam - GREAT pictures! Beautiful colors! We missed you and Allyson at the course improvements workshop for Glacier Skiing/Snowboarding and Crevasse Rescue course. I'll send out a summary of the accepted improvements.
