With great thanks to bwalt822, we went to get it!

Dod and I had a super early morning start from Seattle (thanks to daylight savings) and attempted to drive the Hannagen Pass Road to Ruth. My mom's namesake eludes me still, as the driving in my VW TDI Golf was sporty to say the least!

So we hit the road again for Ptarmigan Ridge/Coleman Pinnacle. Boy had things changed click here

PaulPalf and myself were out there as well... we got all the way out to the basin below the north side of the Pinnacle and found some great skiing with much longer runs available than off Ptarmigan Ridge at points closer in to Table Mountain. Completely untracked until our arrival. The basin is starting to fill in nicely. The coverage on any ridge features running through the basin was still too thin with many rocks lurking above or just under the surface but the draws and chutes in between were well filled in with very light snow on top of the remaining summer snow. Not a hint of crust on any of the north or northeast facing aspects we skied.

Hi Shespiste! It was great to run into more tele'ers out on Ptarmigan Ridge. It really was a great day! Looking forward to more turns as the winter gets cranked up. We'll post our photos of the day later tonight.

Iluka - we saw your tracks continuing out past where we stopped. Looks like y'all nailed it with the longer runs - nice work.

Dale
