I made three bushy laps on wind affected snow, just barely deep enough to get ski up off rocks. No base damage though. Snow was slightly sticky, a fresh wax job would have helped. Wind transport was refilling the up track between runs.
I was on 80mm rock skis, snow a too little stiff to made effortless turns.
