T-Day on Mt Rainier was fun.
partly sunny in the AM, then became mostly cloudy in the PM with rain (once we were cruisin in the car).
Th plan was for Camp Muir but the weather and conditions made for an early turn around.
The conditions up to Panaroma Point were from the Ice Planet. Sections were bullet proof. High winds at noon-time up there. Descended south and east from panorama point towards Mazama, with excellent corn skiing conditions below 6000 feet; above that was granular ice.
Very few people on the mountain overall.
Great views all day to the South which was a big holiday bonus.
