Toured up to the notch northeast of Three-Way Peak, about 6" of new on firm rain crust, generally a pattern of alternating wind scour and wind deposit (up to 12" deep) The wind scour was fine, good edging, but the wind slab would radiate cracks as I crossed. Most of the deposits were 4-8" deep and 3-5' wide and while nothing actually slid, cracks to the rain base were forming. I think when the deposit consolidates there will be significant avy potential on this rain base. There was a cornice about 5' high at the notch, overhanging to the southeast, not very thick though and it would be easy to drop, if you wanted to ski Morse Basin.
While it was sunny, I had thought it was going to be cloudy from the forecasts so I didn't bring the camera - no pictures
