Nov 27, 2007, Mt. Hood

I was at Timberline lodge at 12.30  and stared to skin up.  I fallowed the snowcat track and go up. rest of area up from timberline was racky. Visibilty is low 50-100 ft and the wind is strong. It is racky accept snowcat  rout. I skin up 1500 ft. midway to under Palmer chair from Timberline lodge. .I skied down snowcat trac . It was OK .

4 inches of fresh snow at cascade but here wind and racks did not give any better condition. Try to ski somewhere else if you want to have a better snow. Fresh snow  good  but not good for here yet because of wind and racks.

The lift below timberline lodge is operating. There is a beter snow below timber line. I talk with a few skier they said snow is good below Timber line.
