Mt. Pilchuck hike-ski

Short version: lower mountain melted out so way too much hiking.

Road still closed, but all clear except for the final shady corner. I thought I'd hit snow sooner so wore my ski boots but should have kept my hikers on. Winter/Spring route totally melted out. I didn't hit skiable snow on the trail until past the boulder field and well across the traverse. Larrison Ridge looked great, but the snow was pretty mushy so I was worried about sluffing in the Gunsight. I also didn't look forward to climbing all the way back up to the trail so I just skied down the up route setting off many slushy sluffs. Snow wasn't sticky, so I was soon back to booting down the trail after a few slurpy turns.
