May 24, 2003, Hawkings Mtn, Salmon le Sac

Four of us from the Washington Ski Touring Club had an excellent day on Hawkings Mtn.  We hiked the Big Boulder creek trail to just past the first stream crossing and then gained the south ridge and were able to ski from 5000ft to the summit.  The approaching clouds kept the snow from mushing out and we had a fine ski down.
