Solo Vesper tour yesterday.

The road is completely snow free.  It's technically closed, but there's nothing blocking you from reaching the TH.  There's a washout where the road gets a bit narrow, but pretty much any vehicle that can navigate a typical dirt FS road can make it to the TH.  I easily made it all the way in my 2wd Ford Escape.

Approach isn't too bad, just bring a towel and extra socks so you can walk through the first stream and the Stillaguamish river.  The water is higher and moving faster than in previous years.

Snow starts at the entrance to the basin and is continuous all the way to the summit.

I used crampons for the morning ascent of the gully below Headlee Pass due to firm snow, but after ~11 AM the snow became soft enough that crampons would be unnecessary.

Skied perfect corn from the summit to the top of Headlee Pass.  The gully below the pass is fun and steep with decent snow, and the basin is suncupped and littered with sticks and avy debris.

Thanks - one of my favorites - need to get up there soon.

Nice! We skied Lewis and Del Campo, and I was hoping to see your tracks on Vesper, but couldn't distinguish tracks from that far away.
