We encounter snow 3 miles up the road at 2700ft. Still lots of snow on the road. Hiked and skinned to trail head. Reached the summit at 1pm. By this time, the snow had softened for a nice east run down to 5000ft. When we returned to the ridge, the west run corned up nicely for the ski out. Great day of skiing with exceptional views.

Sweet photo...
How far were you walking on the road until the trailhead?

I was second member of this party. Drove to 2700'. On and off snow. Maybe Memorial Day for drive to TH. Ascended and descended via the open semi-avy slope at appr 3300'. Was solid crust. Then up through mixed trees thus skipping standard TH route. A good option albeit tricky in spots.
