Had originally planned to do this trip with a group of seven, but after the NWAC warning was issued most of the group dropped out, including me.  But then I got a TXT from Silas about how great the corn was and decided -- "if you don't go, you won't know".    Warmer than Silas's day, but light breezes kept things comfortable and kept the snow from mushing out.  Quite excellent corn from the rim to 4000ft, somewhat mushy below that but not bad and not sticky. I crayoned and corked some Swix F4 bar wax while lunching on the rim, so that may have helped.

Freebird skied both days and rated Thursday a 10 out of 10 and Friday 9 out of 10 on corn quality.   Looking to be considerably warmer on Saturday, but many more cars in the Marble Mountain sno-park Friday afternoon and saw many cars with skiis on the rack heading up as we were heading out.

Thanks for the ride home Steve and Randy!
Glad y'all got some of that sweet corn :D

Definitely one of my top 5 corn runs ever.  I used a Swix F4 liquid wax, maybe why the snow never felt grabby or mushy rim to parking lot.

Impressive how the lava dome has grown over the years.

Oh, and if you are ever in Woodland and need to get a tire fixed, I know just the place.
