Shady and protected snow is where it's at.
Two shallow crowns on small slides, presumably windslab, noted on the ascent to Pineapple Pass, one skier-triggered on the knoll near Bryant Col, one natural. Surface hoar of ~4-6mm was beautiful in the sun as we ascended.
Hot pow in the sun skied heavy. Not hard to get snow moving in both dry sluffs and pinwheels. The bond with a crust 10-20cm down on solar slopes is mediocre. We got the message and bailed off adventurous plans in favor of an adventurous exit.
Prominent crown in Silver's north basin. Shallow wet slides on Low almost went the distance into the mega terrain trap. Plenty of loose slides on Kendall's west slopes, none looked skier triggered despite extensive ski traffic on the southern end of the west slopes. S-side Snoqualmie showed sluffing on most visible tracks.
Careful with the sun tomorrow.
