Ryan and I were planning on skiing at Stevens yesterday, but leaving Seattle we noticed much more clearing of the skies to the South, so we changed plans last minute and set our sights on Roosevelt and the Holy Diver Couloir on it's North side.  We skinned up to snow lake and skied some excellent deep cold snow in the sunshine down to the lake.  By the time we crossed the lake however it was sweltering.  We witnessed dozens of slides pouring off Roosevelt and could feel the force of thousands of pounds of wet snow thundering over the cliffs on Roosevelt's SE face.

We scrapped our plan to ski Holy Diver and decided we'd ski down to Wildcat Lakes, which yielded some excellent skiing.  Then we decided to go around Roosevelt just to look at Holy Diver and ended up skinning up some gully on the North side that allowed us to traverse into Holy Diver about halfway up.  From there it was a quick trip to the top and we were stoked to end up on the summit of Roosevelt and ski Holy Diver in great condition after we had given up on it earlier in the day.  It was a long slog back, but there were still some ok turns to be had.
I'm really bummed I forgot my camera on such an epic day, but hopefully Ryan will share some pics.
