The forecast for dropping temperatures finally came true in the wee hours of Sunday morning, and telemetry said 5" fresh above 6000' at Crystal Ski Area.   The day far exceeded expectations with blue skies and at least 6" fresh snow above Bullion Basin.

The south facing slopes of the 6720'+ peak north of Bullion Basin provided great skiing, light powder and light winds at the top, higher water content snow below, but all easy on non-fat skis.  North slopes on the peak south of Bullion Basin provided excellent powder all the way, but a heavier wind crust below the powder than the south facing slopes and more breeze.  Northwest slopes on the same peak provided the best soft powder of the day but shorter runs.

Telemetry indicates the temps above 6000' stayed below freezing all day, therefore tomorrow should be a great day too?  By the way, the nucleus of Team Paradise also was spotted enjoying today's conditions in Bullion Basin.  Perhaps a RonJer video will appear soon?

Sorry, Silas, The Jerman broke his viddycam.  The good news is he's toying with the idea of a new High Def model.

You guys certainly did have your way with those slopes up there.  Nice work.
We just barely found any untracked freshies to play in  ;)
