Maple Pass
Left the car for rainy pass at about 0800 with about 2 to 3 inches of fresh snow on the ground.
We cruised up to the back of rainy lake and opted to take the traverse up the right of the waterfall area.
The snow was pretty saturated and still coming down lightly with clouds in and out.
Made our way up and around to Maple pass in total ping pong ball and wet'n'heavy snow sitting on top of a saturated snowpack. This interface sluffed out on us throughout the day- and avalanches off the near by steeper cliffs were a constant companion.
We made some weelie turns out lake Anne and saw a pine Martin just before the car.
All in all It was better than not skiing.
Enjoying the views
Buttcrack full of debris
Pine martin!
Way to get out still given the marginal forecast! Weird looking squirrel
