Kings Ridge Epic Day
Friday was good, Sunday great, and today about as good as it gets! Plenty of deep, light, dry snow from 2400’ and up. Avy danger “High” so stayed off steeper stuff. For the second time in the last few weeks, I also explored the next drainage to the north, and found cold smoke in the mellow old growth. Now that there is finally a base for the whole ridge - the 2600’ continuous vertical is even more attractive. Today it was bottomless above 4000’. Enjoyed seeing a couple of other groups, helping to break trail.

Thanks for the continued reports out there. May get out there for some mellow terrain/tree skiing in between work days this week. Looks fun. Cheers.
It will warm up and get heavier, but may stay preserved on north facing aspects for a while. At least there is a base now!
