Wow what a day ! cool the night before and nice wind all day kept the snow in super shape and cut down on the sweating. 6 of us in all .Dave, Dave ,Ken Jeff Mike and myself started around 330 am from 1/4 mile below Shrieber campground. Jeff ,Ken and Mike summited The rest including myself with blisters stopped at the crater.
We went up roped up. Crevasses are opening up and perhaps that is why snowmobiles were staying low.
All in all a spectacular day and a good size crowd in attendance.

Robie, great trip. When you say you left a 1/4 mile from the trail head does that mean that is how far you drove? When we did this a month ago there was snow almost 3 miles down the road. How far did you drive? Thanks,
