What better way to burn a rain-sodden day than exorcising a demon or two and hunting for lost gear?
After an awesome
Pete and Chad climbing through the cliffs
We started booting consistent snow (more or less) around 4200 feet and made quick work to the toe of the
Spare parts, now
I took a few pictures while Pete continued setting the bootpack. Minutes later and within a few yards of where Roger, Drew and I hung out on the afternoon of the 6th, Pete found the mother lode, lying in wait.

Dry it off, sharpen the edges, good as new
We finished the climb to where the slide broke out, finding one of Roger's poles along the way. Two more poles are up there somewhere, but I think they're just melting down into the snow surface, so they'll be pretty tough to find. We declared mission accomplished and harvested sloppy corn, rocks, roots and trees to get us back to the car by noon. Thanks for the help y'all! Nice to get that done with.

Good job
You are having a great couple of days. Perfect corn at Van Trump on Friday and finding your ski on Saturday. You and Pete have good karma. ;)
After so little skiing this year, my thighs are paying the price today... but so worth it.
Nice job Marcus. Hiking in the rain rules!
Yay! So happy you found it!! Love the "reunion" picture. ;)

Way to go Marcus, that was a lot further downhill than I was expecting.
Exorcising demons while exercising, good stuff.

That's a great day of booty...especially when it's yours!!! Nice job slurping around in the wetness Marcus, Chad and Pete...
Thanks y'all. It was good to get back up there and clean up some of our mess. Looks like we have 3 poles up there still, somewhere. May have to wait until all the snow's gone for that... Mmmm, 35 degree bushwhacking...
