First ski report for me on Turns All Year.
Skied South Sister today. Thought I'd post some photos of the snow cover. Fairly solid (skiable) snow about 1/2 mile from the trailhead. Some new snow and ice from yesterday's precip event above about 7,500 feet. Even found a little surface hoar. Patches of blown-in dry, cold snow above about 8,000 feet on the ascent (6-10am), which softened for the descent by 11am. Great, smooth corn by 11am below about 8,000 feet. Long slog through deep sun cups across the flats, but still a great day to be in the mountains.

Doug, Glad to see your TR and photos. The first photo provides a nice perspective of the sun cups on the flats and the mountain. Nice smooth turns on the third photo.
Welcome to TAY. Hope to see you at Snowbasin. ;)
