To celebrate NINEs. Leaving Seattle early in the gray skies, we hoped for sun breaks along the way. We were treated to both jaw dropping views of the mountain in morning light and a white knuckled moment when I threw on the hazards, slowed to a crawl, and inched my way through a winding white out. Regardless, our early start meant we were skiing by NINE.
a bit to the top of our first chute. As we changed into some celebratory skiing finery the skies
We traversed further to another area we shared yesterday with the two other ski parties we saw at the parking lot. to the ridge. We found great corn conditions to Congratulations Lara!

Nice report Jessica and CONGRATULATIONS Lara on 9 years of stitching up turns!
The backcountry fashion police would have been proud.
Looked like you made good as I hung pictures and worked on ski related stuff instead of doing it.
Happy 4th too!

Jess-what a lovely day it was!!! Thank you again for sharing the NINE years with me. I couldn't have done it without the support of my friends, and especially my husband who broke his own streak of 4 years last year to let me continue. Our 16 month old little girl can't wait to ski herself! Aiming for TEN years....it will be a party July 2011!!!!
Nice work, ladies.
Congrats Lara on your nine years, looking good as usual. Nice photos Jessica.
