Jove skied well. We booted after reaching the trailhead. I don’t think crampons were necessary but we had them and used them. No tracks and perfect corn at 1145am. Trees stayed frozen to the road for a bumpy ride out. Skinned the road to Rainy Pass and skied the trees to the second switch back above the trailhead and , yup, still frozen! What’s that definition of insanity?
