Stormy drive across Snoqualmie Pass had me worried about getting soaked on a day of nearly flat touring but in fact the weather quickly calmed and cleared throughout the day. We toured about six miles along the pacific crest trail gaining and losing only 800'. We reached our start point by snowmobile and skied a low angle road back to our sled ride back to crystal springs snopark. Happily we found 3-6" of well bonded fresh snow along the route. There was a creek crossing that will likely be part of this years patrol race. Changing to the PCT from logging roads adds no distance but will likely add at least an hour of time.
