Toured up to Bear Gap and environs. Found Avy debris on steeper slopes from cornice collapses. Some debris fields quite large. Snow in trees was awful tree bombed crust with a bit of dust. In open areas there was a 3-4 inches of high density new snow on semi frozen granular. Skied with a delicate touch it was OK, but easy to sink into the granular and experience "trap crust" lock and load. Speed helpful in avoiding sinking.

Arrived 8:04 and parked at top of C lot as A lot had just filled.

Leaving at 3:30 B lot completely full and a lot of cars in D lot.

Snorting Elk packed to the gills, including all outside tables. No beer and nachos for us. :(
