Gorp and I made the most of the last day of high pressure and skied around Chair Peak yesterday.  It was a cold morning, but a beautiful sunny afternoon.  The Source Lake area has been hammered, but there were a lot less tracks in Melakwa basin.  We found some pretty decent preserved powder on the ski down from Melakwa Pass to Snow Lake.

A few of my pics and a video Gorp made here:

Nice tour.  It's a great close-by area!  Beautiful day, way to get out!

I havent' been back there in a while, where's this photo taken from?

That is looking up at Melakwa Pass and a minor summit of Chair Peak from underneath Mt Roosevelt just before skiing down to Snow Lake.

Deja vu. Did the same tour the day before. It was really tempting looking at the tracks to ski down to Source Lake from Bryant Col, but our resolve was rewarded with many good turns going all the way around. Was surprised to see no one and that there was only one set of tracks (going the other way) after several days of bluebird. Nice pics and vid. Way to get it while its good.
