Skied the slot couloir today. Found warm inversion layer with icy, sun and wind affected snow above 5k. Ski crampons would have been ideal but we managed with some difficulty without crampons We experienced hard pack conditions down the couloir. A nasty breakable crust was encountered from the notch until well beneath the inversion layer.
