Mount Ann on Sunday. Approach from Mount Baker ski area. Ski patrol said it was okay to ski up the edge of the run to the gate at Austin Pass. Down the Lake Ann trail then up the north side of Mount Ann. We followed a broken trail from the party ahead of us who hailed from Mount Vernon town. The route followed a really nice line that took advantage of terrain features that minimized the exposure to avalanches.
Lots of breakable crust and tender skiing higher up to avoid breaking through. Flawless weather but the north facing aspect meant there was no sun warmed skiing and poor light for pictures.
