January 20, 2019, Mission Ridge Area

Watching the snow report and seeing tons of snow fall at Mission Ridge I figured it was time to check out this area after a couple years of reading about great tours when conditions are great!  Turn out to be the best decision as the west side of the mountains got hit by a rain crust Friday night the east side didn't and being above 5000ft mission ridge stayed cold through out the weekend.  Being my first time there, it was a bit of a adventure guessing where to put skin track in and where to ski but we found the old radio tower which was cool to check out and the main bowl was perfect knee deep cold smoke!  Very light snow.  The terrain and snow pack seem very stable and skied like a dream.  I'm excited to come back and learn about the area.  Folks out in Wenatchee have a great ski hill.  Thanks letting us share the slopes.
