There was excellent powder for about 200-ft of vertical coming down through a burn on a SW facing slope from the 6700-ft ridge. (Correction: 6700-ft ridge, not 6000-ft ridge.) No signs of instability. Below that, there was a light crust over 6" of powder. The crust was easily broken and did not impact turns unless you caught an edge.

The day started with light snow and 35F at the base. The snow stopped by 11am. The rest of the day was cloudy with good visibility and upper 20F temperatures. The temperatures were measured with a barometric altimeter attached on the exterior of a backpack. They were warmer than what is reported on NWAC for Crystal Mountain.
