Under new management!  Half-supporting crust with 1/2 inch powder on top made it a snowshoeing family trip. Now I know what a zipper crust is.
Having said that I never realized how much fun snowshoes can be.  We did ski out the road and that was fun.  A few nice views. If anyone is interested in my take on the the miscellaneous pluses, minuses and changes with the new owners, send me a PM.  The mountains and mountain environment are  the same and are great!
Guess we overlapped, Jan and I came up on the afternoon shuttle on the 6th and stayed until the 8th. This was our first trip to the High Camp.

We enjoyed all of the laughter from the kids sledding around the huts. We also found the camp hosts to be enthusiastic and helpful.

On the 7th we toured out to Lk. Julius and then broke trail up the boundary trail to McClure Ridge before returning to camp. The breakable crust made for character building skiing. We did enjoy seeing an area new to us and the potential for other tours on a future trip.

Although it snowed about 4" on the night of the 7th, it was not enough to bridge the crust. We made a quick tour up to McClure Ridge the morning of the 8th and were rewarded with some great views of the higher peaks.

Thanks to Blizz Mountain, Dave_R and telemack for their pre-trip beta!

As dkoelle said, PM me if you'd like our impressions from our trip.
