Ingalls Lake environs
We again set out to conquer the South Ingalls Peak but were thwarted at the saddle by deep snow and unappealing rock scramble. We skied down to Ingalls Lake and climbed up the Fortune Peak as a consolation prize, and skied down its SE facing bowl. Snow is melting fast in lower elevation and skiing through trees is getting interesting; the Esmeralda basin trail is partially melted out. Snow coverage is excellent above 5500 feet. While the snow was firm (almost too firm for skinnning on shaded steeper aspect in the morning), during the day it turned into isothermal mush. Good day to be outside and practice social distancing in fresh air.

Did ya'll get good eyes on Cascadian? Excellent photos!
Saw you guys coming down, we were on top of fortune an hour after you. Solid run!
Thanks for writing the TR Pavel, it was a great day, with interesting skiing... :-)
