My Husband (Alaskier) left out a few moments of our harrowing descent.  I wanted to traverse over so that we could view the Coleman Glacier - not a good plan.  We ended up crossing a patch of snow/ice entered by crossing a snow bridge and an undercut ledge on the other side. The snow bridge was solid, but we couldn't see what awaited us on the other side. The slope we crossed was completely shaded and solid ice. When we finaly reached the other side there was a three foot gap, and 8 feet of space, ice, and water rushing below, basicaly we were sitting on the top of an ice cave.  Luckily, the undercut ledge held us and my husband had the experience and knowledge to get us down.  Lesson learned. Don't recommend that way down.

I wouldn't do this with anyone else but Alaskier.  He knows what to do when the ---- comes down.
