Went to Goat Rocks Snowgrass trailhead late Friday. There's currently a dead tree blocking the road about 1.5 miles from the trailhead. The road is snow free up until the parking lot. That darn tree. If anyone has a chainsaw, that's definitely the solution.

If you're headed to snowgrass, continuous snow starts at about 5300ft after the river bridge during the steeper ascent. There's about 1 foot of snow before the upward climb near the river bridge, but I wouldn't recommend skinning (I wasted time with this transition). The snow up high was soft, but I didn't get much skiing in due to some gear issues and high winds Friday evening that forced me to move camp.
