Allen and I enjoyed some excellent post work turns yesterday in Grouse Creek.  Was nice to get out and enjoy some pleasant weather/snow and play around with my new camera.

Road access is currently to within one mile of the trailhead.

Nice... Allen's got some sweet form.  Great to see powder again.

Nice shot of Allen in the gate bashing stance. Looks like the camera takes some good (face) shots.
New on firm?

Pictures look even better on the computer screen. SICK!

Sitting in my office viewing this thread, I realize I maybe liked it better when you posted reports void of pics.

But I still think Allen's arcs are bigger than your poodle turns...

Zing!

Yeah, was pretty stoked on how the pictures turned out given I currently know next to nothing about camera settings.

There definitely was a firm base underneath, but it wasn't really noticeable as you were skiing.  The crazy thing was how the main gully in Grouse was filled with 6-10" of graupel!
