Jill and I arrived at Paradise parking lot around noon to sunny skies and a parking lot about 3/4ths full. Mobs of snowshoers everywhere. Climbed along Mazama Ridge and found numerous powder lines. The snow can be termed variable. Great powder, wind crust, sun crust and dense powder. Trying to find the perfect line was frustrating but satisfying for part of each run. As we were descending the Ridge for the road, I noticed a short person on tele skis with gray hair and what appeared to be a snorkel draped on her head. Once I caught up to Dorthea ,she quickly hid the snorkel and denied she had one. I think she was skiing her favorite powder shot again. ;) ;)
