I guess El Nino has some benefits. The non-existent low elevation snow allows for car access all the way to the trailhead which is especially sweet because we were denied last winter, spring, and much of summer due to a road closure.

This is certainly not a secret area. There must have been at least 20 self powered skiers/boarders €¦ with room for everyone.

Weather, views, and conditions were excellent.
Nice shot of Warm Cr. chutes (last pic). El Nino winters definitely have great qualities. Road access in one of them, as well as extended periods of stable snow and sunshine!!! Thanks for the report, heading up there tomorrow.

SICK!!! I wonder what today and this week holds in the way of weather up there... might try and get up there soon too....

Absolute milk bottle up there today.  Same tour was very different today - great in the few spots we could see, lots of slow, over-rotating skiing by braille.  Friggin' forecast - missed by a day.

What is the report from today? I am thinking an early morning trip if conditions are still good. Thanks.

From the trailhead, how long before conditions allow skinning?

On Saturday, we parked about 200 m below the trailhead at the snowpark sign (~3600 ft) and booted up Grouse Cr until ~4100ft where we started skinning. The timber between the outhouse and where it opens up along Grouse Creek is devoid of snow. The first part along Grouse Creek wasn't worth skinning because of creek crossings, logs, etc.
