partnered up with "slo-steve" for a full day of proto-corn harvesting. lots of the soft stuff on all southerly aspects, with temps in the mid 50's, sun, and no wind. it was a down to the base layer kinda day, and pile on the sun screen. we took several laps in the bowl, followed by a traverse around to the north aspect, finding that to still be somewhat soft and skiable with some minor crustiness, but easily broken and moved. the layer of facets and fluff over firm crust still exist on the north aspect, about 20cm down. i first observed this on 1/25, and it has not changed much since. great day!

is that really zig zag canyon? it looks a lot like Sand cyn. the smaller one you get to before zig zag.
