Parked at Hyak and rode the se aspect of Alaska on sunday. Snow was perfect on the face. Snow in the valley was a sheet of ice with tree debris on top. The brown logs along the first mile were the largest hazard.
what time did y'all start down the face?
We started down at around 4ish, but everything was pretty soft on that aspect by 2:30 when we got to the base.
And yeah.. "brown logs".... :( I think we call those persistant deep layer instablilities.
On the other hand... Big, corn filled open fields to carve turns on! ;)

Doh! We were thinking of going in there on Sunday also, but didn't cause I thought it wouldn't be worth it given what I saw on Kaleetan on Friday...guess I was wrong. Sorry Pete. :-[
