Feb 19. Yodelin

Great snow all over the place...except where the snowmobiles were in the area from the upper lift/concrete block to the lot. Upper glades had 5-7 inches of awesome over a crusty base. Open areas had the same amount of new, but over a much softer crust. If only those areas had any pitch. If I was going to take a noob to ski some easy pow, the open areas are perfect. Sun-blasted areas where starting to get just a little saturated, but were easy to avoid. Surface hoar growing quickly.

I suspect the "road" will really suck to descend tomorrow with a little melt/freeze. Too bad because it was soft pow where there weren't tracks, and the other routes I'm familiar with are still pretty boney.
