After riding the glop on Saturday at Crystal I decided any chance of getting decent snow would have to be on North Facing Slopes so after watching the Quick Silver chair lift break down and helping repair it I was off into the BC. By the time we had ascended into the Alpine bowl the clouds had lifted and visability was great. When we summited I had a chance to view the North facing ridge of the Plate Lake basin and was suprised to see no slide activity.
We lapped the bowl a few times with No sluff and no slides but I didnt want to test my luck by ending it off with the Dog Legg chute ( Ive had that chute take me down before) so we went for the safer bet and rode Gun barrel which had a few tracks down it from the day before.
So here is conditions NE slopes were condensed Pow while N slopes were nice and light. The King had two wet slides that started near the summit and ran down to the basin
