The best weather lured some off to Swiss Col and others to a long couloir Id seen on day one. 2800 feet in all, the line marked the eastern boundary of the heli-ski terrain on the opposite side of the valley. Dubbed Bright Side Of Life for both the intermittent sunshine and the easily whistled tune from The Life of Brian. Theres lots of time for whistling when skinning up through a 35 degree forest, kick-turning every dozen steps and falling over every six.
Looking at pictures on TTips makes me remember the powder-crusted beard and the taste of Canadian snowpack, so I imagine it would have looked much the same. 40 cm ski penetration was the norm for the week, with pockets much deeper. A big storm cycle came through on Thursday and gave us 40 cm more to play with, which looked a lot like this:

A great group, a great place. Well be heading back there again in the not too distant future, if the TTips and TAY deluge leaves us any room.
