Esmeralda Basin

A glorious day of skiing in Esmeralda Basin.  Departed from Esmeralda TH.  At 0.3 miles, took climber's right to enter couloir which starts gently and ends steep on a ridge at around 5700 feet.  Continued to boot up and emerge on ridge at around 6500 ft across from Stuart at a location that is south of Long's Pass.  took glorious turns on NE facing slopes off ridge towards Ingall's creek.  skinned back up to ridge toward's Long's Pass, but still well south of it.  Completed loop back to couloir and able to descend continuously on snow to the same spot 0.3m from TH.  Amazing day with vistas of Stuart, Rainier, and many peaks.
