December 8, 2012, Stafford Cr., Teanaway

Access has been good into the Teanaway lately, so worth a try again. Lacking a good high clearance 4x we opted to explore Stafford Cr. rather than Beverly Cr. Parked at Stafford TH and headed up the trail. Thanks to Clem and Lucky for the trail breaking yesterday. It helped for a bit but then it became deep. Knee to thigh deep touring...

Got about 3 miles in and headed up a short low gradient slope to at least make a few turns. Ended up with about 1 minute of great powder skiing, then back out the trail. Nobody else around, so well worth the effort. Imagine all the people touring elsewhere...
