We put a skin track in up about 2/3 of the way to the peak before getting socked in and opting for laps lower down. Awful crust for the first couple hundred feet, then a pretty skiable and I dare say enjoyable mix of breakable crust, light powder and heavy snow for the rest of the way up the mountain.
Stability: we got some mini-slabs (1-3' wide) to move a couple feet, but nothing propagated. We did set off dry sluffs on steeper pitches, perhaps enough to knock you off your feet if taken by surprise.
