I felt inspired and also a bit lazy. Which led me to think about harnessing up the pooches and having them take me for a tour of the neighborhood.  So I strapped on the teles, harnessed up my own personal dog team and we set out for a screaming fast lap of our usual long walk.

My two malamutes Luna and Sasha have only been skijoring a few times in their eight years but their instinct and breeding kicked in and we were off.  I got in only a few turns, but had to generate very little of my own forward momentum. The snow was well packed and perfect for speed.

Hazards:  startled humans inexplicably on foot, other canines wanting to fight and the sudden need to sniff something or pee which caused major tangles.

We received a combination of horn honks, incredulous looks, cheers and people wishing they'd thought of it.

I plan to go out tomorrow, I'll see if I can get video.  Yahoo!
I love the urban trip reports every winter. Hilarious..  :D

Way cool, Sansivera,
And welcome to Turns-All-Year.
We have a few other skijorers here. I'm wondering if any of the others got out.
If not it looks like there's still time :)

That is wonderful. great TR, I hope you will be back with more. Maybe you will venture beyond Bellevue into the Issaquah Alps someday.  ;)
We tried it with our Lasa Apso, but he bottomed out on the front walk.
