Lapped Roz's, finding decent snow toward the top, where the thin crust nearly disappeared completely. Coverage is very solid. The face, which I skinned, looked like a battlefield of crusted tracks, sled paths, bootpacks, roads and wind funk. Easy skinning though. Hopefully the next storm doesn't leave another crust, though that's the forecast.
the crust was getting to be tough at the bottom half of the frontside (melt-freeze), but was an enjoyable light windcrust at the top and backside.
We headed over to Catherine, but only made it half way up before hitting our darkness turn around time. Surpisingly very good skiing in the big trees on Catherine, with plenty of coverage. Saw a Nordic patrol on the way back who was concerned we were lost... then skied the main frontside at dusk to the car. FWIW, headlamps are needed beginning about 5 :)

Was there, too. Lots of windpacked powder, sugary, pretty dense, with an icy melt/freeze top re-freezing on lower slopes at about 2:30 PM and just a soft breakable top up higher. Windy! No hoar frost in sun or shade. Work in progress on the new lift, with cables up and chairs ready to set. Workers asked politely we stay a hundred feet from cables that aren't all set yet, while they are working.
