Clara Lakes ice - trial TR
Almost all of the snow from the Sept 29 storm is gone now, but ice season is in here! Several small lakes in the Clara lakes area have seen skaters over the last two weeks. I bought skates that attach to my ski boots with the idea that someday I'll get to combine a ski tour with ice skating. Who knows? They are easier to put on and more comfortable than my actual ice skates. Pretty sweet that the site supports video now!

I got the idea from Luc Mehl who is an ambassador for the Winter Wildlands Alliance. He does crazy trips on skates (like 150 mile ice skate approaches to ski tour!).
