This geezer spent three hours reaching the Thumbtack under chair where a patch of soft 1/4” corn snow was found. I did five laps for 1000’ vertical of smooth skiing. The drive was short, air was clear, trail not dusty, and temperatures cool for the hike up. There were sweet blueberries between 4500-5000’.
From what I’ve read on web this week it’s also nice to learn Timberline at hood has 15min accessed snow but a 4.5hr drive from Seattle, pinnacle “glacier” in the Tatoosh appears smooth also with a 2.5hr drive and 1hr walk to snow.
