Thought I would share as this peak doesn't see much traffic. Parked at the 3rd switchback on FS 4096. The fisherman's trail up towards Bedal peak is in decent shape with only a couple branches to the face and a handful of fallen trees to crawl over/under. Ski yoga is very in right now. The pink flagging is a good guide through the forest. Hit consistent snow at 3300' and switched to skinning. There is a key gully feature that you need to take to access the northern snow fields at 5k, route from here is straight forward.

Wonderful views of Glacier, Pugh, Sloan, Big Four and other peaks on the Mtn Loop. Northern slopes held good corn @ noon descent. Everything below that was mush after a week of warm temps. Took 6.5 hours round trip. Mandatory stop at Burger Barn in Darrington for a deluxe w/ fries + shake

A descent of the NW face of Sloan got pushed up my list as well, thanks to Andy Berner + Robert Hahn for proving it goes https://cascadeclimbers.com/forum/topic/91009-tr-sloan-peak-nw-face-and-gully-4162013/

Thanks for the report! Was wondering how the trail to Bedal was holding up as some past reports had suggested it was in worse condition.

Thanks for report.  Burger Barn!!

Nice! Did this one a few years back and a LOT of ski yoga was involved on the climbers' trail. Glad to hear the flagging is still up
